Student: "Teacher can you tie my shoe?"
Teacher: "of course!! ... Why are your shoelaces so sticky?"
Student: "oh I threw up on my shoes this morning... But I feel all better now!"

Clothes

Overheard a PreK teacher say to her students while they were going to the bathroom on our hallway, “Students would you please keep your clothes on when you come out of the bathroom today.”

Story from a 2nd grade friend's classroom.....

While using newspapers, I had them look for Nouns. A girl comes up to me and says,
“I found the 2 words...... Birth Control...... are they nouns?” I told her no, but really it is a noun!

There are some things that I do NOT need to know about your family.....

One of my girls comes up to my desk on Wednesday and said "Mrs. Gonder, when my grandpa was little, he was a boy. Now that he is grown up, he likes to pretend that he is a woman and he wears women clothes!"

I said, "Do you mean like on Halloween?"

She said, "No, everyday.....but he still wears boy p.j.'s to sleep in at night!"

Carpet Time

While sitting at the carpet last week, one of my little girls raised her hand while I was teaching. The following is the conversation that took place:

Student: Mrs. Gonder, Mrs. Gonder, Mrs. Gonder

Me: Yes? (a little exasperated I admit)

Student: I need to tell you something! (She begins to get up and come to me)

Me: Well, you have already interrupted the lesson now so you might as well share your story with us all!

Student: Welllllll, OK! One day last year, I had diarrhea and I think it is coming back now!
